We are thrilled to be assisting our Penticton client with the addition of an Operations Manager to join their team of highly trained and committed professionals. The candidate will work directly with, and report to the Company’s Founders – CEO & President. This position will be responsible for leading and expanding their

operations and develop necessary programs and strategies and technologies to facilitate that growth.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help with and oversee company policy development and implementation.

• Manage and participate in all internal operations – manufacturing, customer care, shipping and accounting.

• Manage HR functions.

• Develop a broad and deep knowledge of all aspects of the operation.

• Oversee office management and administration ensuring smooth daily operations of the company.

• Enhance the company’s organizational processes and to assist with the company’s growth.

• Observe, note and discuss, with a larger team, areas for review or improvement.

• Train staff as needed on tasks & procedures assigned to them.

• Discuss various items on a day to day operation, short and long term goals as part of the larger management team.

• Oversee and participate in all aspects of inventory management including manufacturing & ordering right through to shipping.

• Oversee all aspects of shipping, testing & repairs. May be needed for backup as required.

• Manage the team involved in shipping, testing & repairs.

• Manage international distribution system – identifying the needs of distributors and developing materials to help ensure the success of our international distributors.

• Direct changes to our proprietary database software as needed.

• Set/update folder permissions as required; create new email accounts, create email signatures – miscellaneous assistance with the computer system.

• Assist with hardware and software issues as necessary.

• Ensuring the building is maintained and contracts for maintenance are in place.

• Play a key role in developing and nurturing the team.

• Support Customer Care in day to day operation of the Customer Care Department.

• Regulate oversight and legal compliance – safety standards, consumer vs medical regulations.

• Oversee letters of agreement, contracts, leases, and other legal documents and agreements.

• Manage our trademark applications and registrations.

• Product Costing

• Depending on experience and knowledge participate in the day-to-day needs of accounting.


REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Business Administration or appropriate majors •

• Preferably 8+ years’ experience, in a progressive management role in operations

• Experience in a Distribution environment will be considered an asset

• Excellent analytical ability and contract negotiation skills

• Strong planning and organizational skills

• Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead a team

• Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

• Experience with employee training and development

• Strong customer orientation

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills
