Our client is looking to add a Manager, Mechanical Sales Engineering to join their team. As a member of the team, you will play a key role in building and shaping new products. Serve customers by identifying their needs; implementing engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.

• Design, prototype and launch a variety of exciting new products

• Collaborate with multiple design and engineering teams as well as external vendors and partners

• Drive all phases of mechanical development from concept to mass production

• Develop and conduct technical design reviews to identify problems, select designs, materials, and technologies

• Lead the mechanical engineering team members to greatness

• Responsible for building and nurturing a team of exceptional engineers and production leaders and influence the development and implementation of the products

• Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements

• Prepares cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional and technical personnel

• Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services

• Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

• Assists Set-Ups, Quality Assurance Department, Testing and Trouble shooting

• Provides continuous “on the floor” support and utilizes Process Monitoring System in determining process improvements

• Assists in proper support of company policies and procedures regarding compliance with such legal activities as the Occupational Health Act, ISO and Health & Safety


REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of related experience in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, and/or Product Design

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Understanding of engineering materials and manufacturing methods including prototyping and mass production e in Mechanical Engineering

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Resourceful; able to self start and get things accomplished with minimal oversight

• Work effectively within a team environment

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload

• Ability to work well under pressure

• Highly organized and able to multitask

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
