Our Okanagan client, a leader in the automotive industry is seeking a self-motivated, high energy, dynamic and results-oriented leader with a proven track record of production, profitability and excellence. They are looking for an individual who can contribute to business operations and be responsible and accountable for the successful operation of the dealership.

You will be passionate about leading your dealership team to success. As a General Manager, you must be an agile, results-orientated leader that can delegate, communicate and remain focused on financial success and people development.


• Design, communicate and implement a clear plan abiding by the company’s policies and procedures to ensure consistent and direction to all departments

• Oversee, maintain and enhance the Sales, Finance, Service and Parts Operations departments of the dealership

• Monitor performance metrics in all departments.

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to curate an exceptional client experience

• Obtain, review and recommend improvements for each department

• Resolve customer questions, concerns or complaints that haven't been successfully resolved by the department managers

• Follow dealer group requirements for all training programs while monitoring their effectiveness

• Develop merchandising strategies and assist in creating an effective cost-efficient advertising program

• Ensure that department managers are trained and are supervising employees for optimum effectiveness

• Coach, mentor and motivate the sales team to ensure that performance metrics and sales goals are achieved

• Communicate management and HR policies and procedures to all employees and ensure they are understood and followed

• Responsible for hiring, training, evaluation and supporting of staff; deals with employee issues and termination of employment as required

• Lead, demonstrate and champion a healthy and safe work environment ensuring that all safety standards, policies, procedures and compliance requirements are communicated, implemented and followed


• 3-years’ related Managerial, Sales, Finance and Fixed Operations experience required

• Motor Vehicle Sales Authority (VSA) Certification

• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, empower, coach and motivate teams

• Comfortable directing and delegating work

• Experience developing short and long term business plans

• Proficient in the use of an automotive CRM software system

• Results-driven and career-focused individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to be successful

• Experience using CRM systems or other automotive software systems would be considered an asset

• Valid driver’s license and a history of safe driving

• Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, sound business judgment and attention to detail

• Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively and efficiently

• Knowledge of rules surrounding confidentiality, information governance and data protection

• Excellent organizational and realistic time management skills

• Clear, concise and professional written and verbal communication skills.
