FURNITURE INSTALLER | POSITION FILLED

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Load furniture orders onto truck and delivers product to customer; completes furniture assembly/installation as per installation specifications to meet customer satisfaction; inspects furniture for proper operability according to manufacturer's guidelines.

• Off-load and stage of goods, including proper separation of materials on-site.

• Read and interpret instructions and delivery ticket information.

• Use hand/power tools for assembly of office furniture.

• Understand and utilize proper/safe lifting and moving techniques to avoid damage to furniture, walls, door frames and elevators during movement of goods.

• Perform proper job site finishing techniques: including wiping down all furniture components, vacuum areas as required, professionally detailing furniture from the inside out following best practices to exceed client expectation.

• Responsible for complying with the daily time sheet requirements.

• Build on customer experience by providing outstanding systems installation and move services

• Assist in installing systems and case-good furnishings on client sites Unload incoming furniture trucks using warehouse equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jack)

• Follow all safety procedures in the performance to job duties

• Daily interaction with customers, market furniture staff, and warehouse furniture management


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12 or Equivalent education

• Previous Installations, carpentry, cabinetry and or applicable experience is an asset

• Mechanically Inclined is mandatory

• Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds.

• Excellent work habits and communication skills.

• Responsible for adhering to assigned work schedules being punctual and prepared.

• Contribute to team effectiveness through positivity and a willingness to take responsibility

• Excellent communication skills

• Well organized and attention to details

• Must be able to professionally represent company with clientele. Much of our work is in occupied facilities.

• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
