Our client, a Kelowna Law firm is seeking an experienced Conveyancer to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will have strong conveyancing experience, excellent communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task and prioritize work.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct client interviews, schedule appointments, pre-closing, closing and post-closing tasks for files
  • Assist Senior Conveyancer in managing files
  • Sending strata form and binder requests
  • Prepare Sale Packages and prepare files, registration and/or discharge at Land Titles Office
  • Managing residential and commercial purchase, sale and mortgage files from start to finish
  • Conduct searches and filing documents with the Land Title Registry, Corporate Registry and Personal Property Registry
  • Maintain a system for all deadlines
  • Scanning, copying and collating documents
  • Drafting correspondence and other documentation for review
  • Billing and some client collections
  • Perform other related duties as required


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ conveyancing experience
  • Have a positive attitude and an excellent work ethic
  • Experience using Pro-Suite, LTSA, BC Online and Esilaw are an asset
  • Have superior organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent understanding of conveyance procedures and standard practices
  • Excellent English oral and written skills
  • Ability to prioritize a high volume of tasks and priorities
  • Professional manner in communication with clients
  • Must be a team player and also be able to work independently
