Our Kelowna based client is looking for a high-performing Sales Manager to help meet their customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping their company competitive and innovative. This role will be responsible for maximizing the sales team potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those plans to upper management. Under the general guidance of the Director of Sales & Marketing, this position is responsible for company sales functions. The primary focus of the Sales Manager is the effective management of the sales system and sales team to ensure related targets are established and achieved in support of business forecasts. The Sales Manager will also assist with the retention and expansion of our existing customer base while targeting new business opportunities. The Sales Manager will work closely with the related departments to ensure we provide quality products and services, on time, to our customers. 


• Implements, trains and ensures company and employee adherence to the sales process

• Works in partnership with Marketing to ensure consistent lead generation

• Manages the prospecting process

• Collaborates with Sales leadership to manage the lead and opportunity qualification process  

• Partners with the Sales leadership team and human resources to participate in human resources processes such as recruitment and selection, performance management, etc. in accordance with company policies and procedures

• Trains and mentors new Sales Representatives to ensure successful integration into the company and their role, including meeting, required sales results

• Coaches and develops direct reports while encouraging their personal and professional growth

• Leads and schedules weekly individual meetings with direct reports and monthly Sales team meetings

• Tracks Sales team metrics and reports data to leadership on a regular basis

• Leads and manages multiple simultaneous projects and determines deadlines and budgets. Ensures all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget

• Embodies company culture and maintains high engagement with the department

• Meets pre-determined revenue goals through the activities of direct reports

• Ensures correct usage of CRM and other sales applications

• Ensures CRM data is up to date and ensures continuous improvement to the platform

• Maintains current knowledge of industry competitors’ business activities. Demonstrates a thorough understanding and knowledge of local, national and international marketplace challenges

• Collaborates with other department managers to support company objectives

• Performs all duties per applicable quality program procedures

• Other related duties as assigned   


· Bachelor’s degree, business and marketing majors preferred, or equivalent industry experience

· 5-10 years in a Sales Representative role, within industry preferred

· A minimum of 2-3 years’ management experience leading a Sales team required

· Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets

· Valid driver’s license, valid passport

· Ability to travel without restriction nationally and internationally on a quarterly basis

· Familiarity with data analysis and reporting

· Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences

· Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

· Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

· Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
